Have heard a rumor that there is a new girl in town (Well in Montreal at least!!) Just want to say a huge congrats to both Jared & Tayna on the safe arrival of their baby girl. Can't wait to meet her!!

Beth's Birthday - 20th March 2006

Well I wrote this yesterday (19th) knowing that I just wouldn't have time today really but it turns out that I was unable to attach the picture that I wanted to so I'm having to post this now without a picture. But sorry Beth - it will have one eventually!!!

Today's blog is for my really great friend Beth. Tomorrow (the 20th) will be her 25th birthday & I really wanted to do this. Beth and I have been friends literally our whole lives (since Aunty Cheralyn & my Mom met at the local anti-natal classes) and we have remaind friends ever since - well more like sisters/cousins.

When we were younger I think (the 4 of us - Beth and I and our respective younger sisters Holly & Natty) did practically everything together (Paul ~ B&H's younger brother, was forced to tag along - sorry mate!!) but since we have grown up and first the Wilkins' moved to Langford and then we moved to Canada we have grown apart a bit but I always know that when we get together on visits etc we always pick up right from where we left off and that I think is real friendship, no matter where we are in life, sometimes worlds apart, we can just chat and laugh as if we've always lived just around the corner from each other.

So Beth, on this your 25th brithday I just hope that you have a really great day, that all the things you wish for come true, and that all your dreams become a reality. I thank God that your Mom & my Mom became such firm friends that we (all) too could be so close - even when we're far apart at times!!

Too Busy!!

Have finally got a night in and so wanted to write something on our blog page since its been about a week since the last time I did so. Have been so busy the last few nights & am just so grateful for a night in. But tonights events bought something of a very pleasant suprise.

I got a phone call tonight from a friend that I used to work with which completely lifted me and just made me really ... I don't know just really glad that I was in the right place at the time.
For such a long time (whilst I was working with her and afterwards) I have been praying for a chance to really bring God into our friendship and this past week she had a job interview and actually asked me to pray for her (!!) which of course I willingly did, and then I was able to met up with her for a few minutes after her interview to see how things went.
Tonights phone call was just to say that she had been offered the job and to also thank me for praying for her and being so supportive. How cool God is!! Only in God's timing eh? Worked with her for for 3 years and nadda, and then within 4 months of me being gone this has happend.

If your reading this I would just ask you to quickly pray for me and my friend (who shall remain nameless since I've not told her about telling you this!) that there will plenty more chances for us to talk about all sorts of things to do with God, Jesus, Christianity and the Church in general.
