Here we go, Here we go...

Daniel got home last night to find a letter on the carpet from Mississauga... dun dun der... hands trembling he carefully tore it open... to find inside a detailed letter which read:
... "This letter refers to the application to sponser Daniel Bentley. We are pleased to advise that you have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponser" ... blah blah blah...

Long and short of it was that the sponsership half of the application is now through and we just have to wait for Daniel's permanent residency to come through.. but at this rate, we might still be there before the end of the year (& taking bookings!!)

Stop that weed!!

Well with all the work we have been doing on the house (in between world cup matches!) our garden has suffered to the point that it was starting to look like a nature reserve, there were stinging nettles nearly as tall as me, and there were fears voiced by some that if we left it much longer we would in fact soon loose the shed! So this afternoon Daniel set about strimming and mowing and pulling up those stingers, and good news - we did indeed once again find the door to the shed!

Last night we were lucky enough to be invited to the Tech-ni-fold Summer Ball and we had a really lovely time. Here we all are spiffed up!!

Grouts 'R' Us

This might seem like a bit of a strange picture to you, but this is quailty Bentley grouting!!! Exciting I know... you don't have to tell me... even I was there... doing my bit (Mom!) Even better was that I text the radio station we were lstening to and we got a mention.. Whoo hoo!!!
