Special Times

So last night our good friends Clare & Mike came for dinner & we ate good food (lasagne - yum), drank good wine, well beer for the boys and watched good ol' Peter Kay dvd's and laughed til our sides hurt... It was a really great very chilled & relaxing evening guys, so thank-you. We'll miss you when we're/you're gone. :(

We're on the mo-ve, we're on the mo-ve

No pictures this time sorry.... Just a quick note to say a massive thank-you to anyone that has prayed for us, & keeps checking up on where we are with the big ol' move to Canada. Daniel last night received a card from the Royal Mail saying that there was a package that he needed to sign for so he went to pick it up this morning and it was his VISA!!!!!!!!! so - the count down is now on to getting the house finished, & putting it on the market on the 18th September, and then we wait ... until its sold and then we're off WHOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! - tad excited much?!?! so... yeah, thanks xx

Have you seen these two?

Just thought this picture was something slightly different. Have you seen the bodies these shadows belong too?

TIme for some fun!!

We then decided after all that walking that it was time for some fun! - So we headed down to the water to go rowing in a little row boat

Then I beat Daniel at mini-putt - I knew all those endless hours of playing whilst on family holidays would pay off eventually!!

Stratford

So for our anniversary this year, as well as the fantastic meal at Leeja Palace last wednesday, we decided to head down to Stratford for the weekend. First we headed for the town, had a wander around some shops, the old houses are just gorgeous!

And look what else we found.... If this one was donated by Canada do you think that somewhere in Ottawa there is simply just a hole in the ground?? - might ahve to keep my eye out for that when we're there!!

The wonder that is Phoenix

Those of you with pets will appreciate that most of the time, arranging to take pictures of them can be somewhat of a struggle. We find it particularly difficult to get pictures of our cat phoenix since he is all black & when you take a picture of him he just comes out looking like a blob of black fur.

Well... this morning that all changed. Whilst Daniel managed to distract him for a while playing his undoubtedly favorite game - fetch!! (yes we have questioned if he is indeed part dog??) I managed to catch some very cute pics of him!!

Here we go - 2nd Edition

As you will have read previously, our immigration forms had left Canada & we had received confirmation that Daniel's Permenant Residency visa was now been processed by the Canadian High Commision in London.

I was awoken this morning by a very excited Daniel who was frantically waving about a letter that had just be delivered from the CHC in London. He opened the leter which read (paraphrasing slightly): "We are now ready to issue your permenent visa & require you to send your passport so that we can attach it"

It also said that they would return Dan's PR visa within 30 days so yeah, all very exciting news!!
With this in mind we will now be pressing on with finishing the house (hopefully with some help from Mom & Dad in September) and then it usually takes about 3 months to sell a house so with any luck we shall be in Ontario by Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!! - Bring on the Snow!!

Huge thanks to everyone who has been praying for us & this whole situation.

Gill x

Ps) - Little side note: Huge Congratulations to Rho & Haydn who got engaged last night!!! Looks like we'll be back before we know it!!
