Happy Days...

Today is Daniels 28th Birthday and I have for some time now promised that one day Daniel could have an electronic drum kit and that day finally arrived today. So this morning we went out to see what we could find...The store we went to in Barrhaven had a pretty good selection to choose from, some in our price range and some way above our price range but Dan spent a good time playing and asking lots of questions, we were there for about an hour I think but now the kit is safely at home and Dan is contently playing away as I type..

Fancy a change? - Not like this...

Scotiabank Place - The home of the Sens!!

Last night Daniel and I went to Scotiabank Place to Change '07. The guy opening it Geoff Moore(?) was okay... Then rthere was this women speaker who felt the need to instead of talk into the microphone decided to YELL.. even now I have no idea what the point of her speaking was or what it was about cus I practically had my fingers in my earrs the whole time she was yelling so loud... Then there was this worship group who played I think we counted 8 songs - 7 of which we didn't know and the 8th one they played... well it wasn't even the whole song, they played 1 chorus of "How great is our God" - finally a song we knew, but as soon as it started it was over - that was it they were done... so disappointing!!

The only good thing about it Delirious? They were awesome - as always. I dont think the Canadians really got them though... Like at one point they started a song really quietly, like they do sometimes and all of a sudden there was this like screaming match going on... They ended up stopping.. and then starting loud again...

Again... dissapointing... maybe I should go and leave feedback on Change '07's page instead of ours..

May Two Four Weekend

This weekend we had planned to go to Gatineau Park camping for the weekend but it appears that everyone else had the same idea and as it turns out tomorrow is not suppoed to be very warm so..

Anyways.. we still got a lot done today, we left our place at around 10 this morning, and headed downtown to do Daniel's first (of probably many) walk abouts round the parliament buildings.

Today was the perfect day for it too.. sun shining!!..
This is us trying to get us & Parliament in the picture - needs some work
This is the eternal flame on Parliament Hill, its a water fountain with a flame coming out of it....

Then we wandered along by the canal and headed to the byward market for a little look and some lunch.

A similar picture of the canal was posted on here a couple of weeks ago... we actually went this time for real :)

In the Byward Market area of town we came across this:

After that we headed to Bryan and Tracy's to watch the Sens game, They were 3-1 up in the series against Buffalo and at the end of regular time it was 2-2.... extra time here we came -again...

Lazy Sundays

I love Sunday afrernoons... this past one was no exception, we got home from church around 12.00 and casually waited for Bryan & Tracy in the parking lot... (and played soccer whilst we waited...)

Before heading to "Little Italy" and walking for a bit....

and walking a little bit more...(then huddling for a quick picture...)

before going to get some lunch....

This was in a park across from the place that we bought great sandwiches from... then we went for a casual stroll around the area. Then we all headed home (This picture is minus big Brian.. who hadn't shown up yet...)
