Patio Time

With the warm weather now here and the fact that Dave was back in town for a week or so... Dave and Amanda, Daniel and I took full advantage, and headed down to Elgin street for a nice meal on the patio at the Fox & Feather.

After dinner we headed in doors for a few games of pool and then to top the night of we stop at good old Timmy's for a iced cap... hmmm... now thats summer!!

Keep posted for some more "Patio Time" after the girls hit Poncho Villa this Thursday night... whoohoo!!

Fury

On Sunday afternoon just gone Daniel & I, Brian & Jen went to watch the Ottawa Fury Men's team, along with a few of my soccer team mates. We managed to score (no punn intended!) some free tickets through the NCISL.

It was quite an enjoyable relaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon. It bites that the guys lost their game, but aparently the womens Ottawa Fury team were awesome. Unfortunately we didn't stick arount to watch their game :) oops .... maybe next time.

Summer Stroll

Tonight since it was so warm out, we were bored, & there was diddly squat on the TV, I asked Daniel if he fancied walking to Timmy's to get and iced cap.. He agreed it was a good idea so we threw some shoes on and headed out...

Halfway to TH's we decided that since the sun was going down and it was a nice night we should walk down passed Hunt Club (See map) to where the deer come out at dusk... its awesome to see them all out.. so after a quick stop to pick up the iced caps we meandered down to see if we could spy the deer...

we were passed by a few cyclists.. - 1 guy even passed us twice (he must have gone all the way to Barrhaven and back)

and when we got to where the deer usually are... there was only one...

oh well.... so then we wandered back..

I love summer here.. it was a really nice short-ish walk. Why can't it be warm all the year round... seems strange to think that a few months ago it was -40 with the wind chill.

Such Work!

I know that I probably will have told people what the area is like around where I work before, but the building is surrounded by The Marshes golf course which is just gorgeous. We are on the 4th floor of a 5 storey building so the view is pretty great.




Every lunchtime (well, now that its so warm) we go for walks around the golf course, to top up our tans and try to get some sort of exercise, and its just lovely! Today at lunch I took my phone with me to try to get some good pics to put up, they don't fully do it justice, but they are pretty close!

Time Flies when your having fun!

So since its been a while that I updated this thing I thought that it was about time!
I'm not really sure where to start so today seems like a good place. Today at chuuch was the first kick off to a lot of new and exciting things happening at Sequoia. Sequoia Sam was there, a 70ish person choir from Alabama is with us for the week, the fun cruiser is ready to go and is out in I think at least 2 parks this week.. and to top it all off, this afternoon after the church service we all headed to the Glennies farm for food and 2 baptims in the Glennie's pool!

It has been a great day.. not reall much else has happend. Work is still work and college is still college for Daniel so...
